The team’s initial ask was to create digital placements for the launch of the FIAT 500e. But, with two distinct avenues of art direction already established by other partner agencies, we saw an opportunity.
Instead of just filling the buys, we took a long look at ways to marry these two unique approaches into a more cohesive expression of the brand. That way no matter what media they happened to come across, it still felt FIAT.
To align with the audience for this fun little ride FIAT took to social spaces to get the word out about the new 500e. Below is a collection of the work that ran across Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and Spotify.We took several opportunities to have some fun with the launch spot and used the visual devices to frame gif-ed versions of clips from Spike Lee and Giancarlo Esposito diving in to Italian style.

This exercise turned in to a larger styleguide to document the decisions and ways we were melding these two approaches to the brand. Additionally we crafted some new elements and approaches that helped pay respect to the work behind each campaign while drawing them together.

This visual approach has continued to evolve and adapt. By introducing more subdued patterns and softer colors from the campaign’s palette, we helped elevate the look, while maintaining consistency with the tone.
